My Forex Funds is coming back. On October 12, 2026, the firm published a relaunch announcement on its website with one concrete detail: MyForexFunds relaunches on November 23, 2026.
For a firm that was shut down overnight in August 2023, spent more than two years in court and came out on the winning side, that date carries a lot of weight. Here's what was announced, what is still unknown, and what traders should watch before November 23.
What My Forex Funds Announced
The announcement page on myforexfunds.com is short. It confirms the relaunch date and outlines six themes for the new version of the firm:
▪ Greater flexibility
▪ Better alignment
▪ Long-term sustainability
▪ Reduced complexity
▪ Transparent structures
▪ A stronger foundation for growth
The page also repeats the firm's historical figures: 450,000+ unique traders and $290+ million in rewards distributed before the 2023 shutdown. A message from the owner states that the goal "isn't to chase trends or reinvent ourselves for the sake of it." A team introduction is marked as coming soon.
What the page does not include: programs, account sizes, pricing, profit splits, trading rules or platforms. For now, the date is confirmed and the product is not.
How We Got Here: The MFF Timeline
August 2023: the shutdown
The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and the Ontario Securities Commission brought actions against My Forex Funds, its parent company Traders Global Group and founder Murtuza Kazmi. The CFTC alleged fraud, a temporary restraining order froze the firm's assets, and MFF stopped operating overnight. At the time, the CFTC said the firm had served more than 135,000 customers.
2023–2025: the case falls apart
The case turned when the court examined how the asset freeze had been obtained. A transfer the CFTC had described as asset dissipation turned out to be a tax payment to the Canada Revenue Agency. A court-appointed Special Master reviewed the regulator's conduct, the CFTC placed several staff members on administrative leave, and one of its lawyers later admitted to being "careless and sloppy" during the investigation.
May 2025: dismissed with prejudice
US District Judge Edward S. Kiel dismissed the CFTC case with prejudice, meaning it cannot be refiled, and granted MFF's motion for sanctions against the regulator. For prop trading, this was one of the most significant legal outcomes the industry has seen.
December 2025: assets returned in Canada
The Ontario Superior Court approved the Canadian Asset Handover Order, giving MFF back control of its assets, data and systems. The firm described it as Phase Three of its return roadmap.
2026: rebuilding
Through 2026, MFF worked on recovering its data and reassembling its team. In an April 2026 discussion, former MFF staff said the first payouts to previously verified traders had started and that MT5 would be the platform going forward, with MT4 not returning. These were statements from former employees, not official company announcements.
October 12, 2026: the date
The relaunch date is announced: November 23, 2026.
What We Still Don't Know
Six weeks before launch, most of the important questions are still open:
▪ Programs and pricing. No challenge types, account sizes or prices have been published.
▪ Trading rules. No information on drawdown limits, profit targets, consistency rules or news trading.
▪ Old accounts. The announcement says nothing about restoring pre-2023 accounts or how traders with accounts at the time of the shutdown will be treated.
▪ Outstanding payouts. No official update on the status of payouts owed from 2023.
▪ Eligible countries. The site refers to "Excluded Countries" without listing them. Given the firm's history with the CFTC, whether US traders will be accepted is an open question.
▪ Platform and broker. MT5 has been mentioned by former staff, but the official announcement does not confirm a platform or a broker partner.
What This Means for Traders
MFF's comeback is a real story. Few firms have been shut down by a regulator, cleared in court and then attempted a return. The brand still has a large community, and a lot of goodwill came out of how the case ended.
The prop firm market of November 2026 also looks very different from the one MFF left in 2023. Dozens of established firms now compete on payout speed, rule transparency, platform choice and pricing. Brand recognition will bring attention on day one. Programs and payouts will decide whether traders stay.
If you're planning to trade with MFF after November 23, a few things are worth doing first:
▪ Wait for the full rulebook and read it before buying anything.
▪ Check whether your country is eligible.
▪ If you held an account in 2023, follow official MFF channels only for updates about your account or payouts, and be careful with anyone contacting you privately about "restoring" an old account.
▪ Watch the first payout reports from traders after launch.
Final Verdict
idk man, this one is hard not to root for. A firm gets shut down overnight, spends two years fighting a federal regulator, wins with prejudice and comes back with a date on the calendar. That's a story.
But a date is not a product. Right now we know when MFF returns, not how: no rules, no pricing, no word on old accounts. We'll update this article as soon as the programs and rules are published, and MFF will go through the same independent review as every other firm on PropTradingArea once it's live.
