Additional Rules
Single-phase evaluation: Traders must reach the profit target in one phase, with a minimum of 3 profitable trading days each showing at least 1% P&L, to advance to the live stage.
No second chance: Unlike the standard 1-Step challenge, the Lite 1-Step does not include a free retry. If the account is breached during Phase 1, a new challenge must be purchased.
Static drawdown model: Both the daily and maximum loss limits are calculated from the initial account balance, not from peak equity, meaning early profits do not tighten the risk parameters during evaluation.
Daily loss limit: A fixed 3% daily loss limit applies, calculated on equity or balance at end-of-day (EOD), and resets each day at 22:00 UTC.
Customizable max loss: The maximum loss limit can be adjusted between 5% and 10% at purchase, allowing traders to calibrate risk to their strategy — at a cost impact on challenge price.
Minimum holding time: The standard minimum trade duration is 3 minutes. A scalping add-on is available that reduces this to 30 seconds.
Weekend trading: Holding positions over the weekend is not permitted by default. A weekend trading add-on must be enabled at checkout.
News trading: Permitted across all account types with no specific restrictions stated.
EAs allowed: Expert Advisors are permitted, though hidden EAs and high-frequency strategies passed in a very limited number of trades may be flagged.
Live phase rules: Once the funded stage is reached, there is no profit target. Traders only need to complete 3 trading days and respect the drawdown rules to qualify for a payout.
Profit split flexibility: The profit split can be selected at purchase between 60%, 70%, 80%, or 95%, with price varying accordingly.
Payout cycle options: Traders can choose payout intervals of 3, 7, 14, or 21 days, though the first payout is always available only after 21 days regardless of selection.
Static daily + static max combination: While both limits are static and not trailing, the 3% daily cap is tight relative to the 8% max loss, meaning a trader can breach the daily limit just 2–3 times before hitting the total drawdown ceiling.
1% minimum daily profit rule: Each of the 3 required profitable days must show at least 1% P&L on the account size. For a $200,000 account, this means $2,000 minimum profit per qualifying day — a constraint that penalizes overly conservative approaches.
No buffer for mistakes: With a 1:1 PT:DD ratio and no second chance, there is zero margin for a rough start. One bad day can eliminate up to 37% of the total drawdown allowance.
Scalping restrictions: Without the add-on, the 3-minute minimum hold time disqualifies ultra-short-term strategies that many traders associate with the term "scalping."
Weekend gap risk: Without the weekend add-on, any open position at market close on Friday must be closed, limiting swing trading strategies that hold over multiple days.
Price sensitivity: Every customization (higher profit split, faster payouts, scalping add-on, weekend add-on) increases the challenge price, meaning the advertised low cost applies only to the most restricted configuration.
