Additional Rules
Two-phase evaluation: Traders must reach an 8% profit target in Phase 1 and a 6% profit target in Phase 2, both with no time limit. On a $5,000 account, this means generating $400 in Phase 1 and $300 in Phase 2 in closed profits while respecting all drawdown rules.
Minimum profitable days: At least 3 valid trading days are required in each phase and per payout cycle in the funded stage. A valid day requires a minimum profit of 0.5% ($25) on a $5,000 account.
Daily loss limit of 4%: On a $5,000 account, the maximum daily loss is $200. The threshold is calculated at 5:00 PM EST by taking the higher of balance or equity and subtracting $200 (4% of initial balance).
Maximum drawdown of 10% static: The absolute floor is $4,500 on a $5,000 account. Breach occurs if equity or balance reaches this level at any point including floating losses.
Static drawdown model: Both limits are calculated from the initial account balance and do not tighten as profits grow.
Leverage: Up to 1:100 Forex in evaluation, reduced to 1:50 in funded. Indices and Commodities 1:20 in evaluation, 1:10 in funded. Crypto 1:2 throughout.
Profit split: 80% default. Add-ons: 100% profit split and on-demand first reward (40% split after 3 days funded).
Payout frequency: Bi-weekly. First 2 payouts capped at 6% ($300) or $10,000, whichever is lower.
Daily profit cap in funded stage: $3,000 per day.
News trading: Permitted in evaluation. In funded, 1% profit cap ($50) per news event within 5-minute window.
EAs allowed with restrictions. Copy trading banned. Weekend and overnight holding permitted.
GOAT vs Standard vs PRO comparison: The 2-Step GOAT uses 8%+6% targets with 4% daily DD and 10% max DD. The Standard uses 10%+5% with 5% daily DD and 10% max DD. The PRO uses 8%+4% with 4% daily DD and 8% max DD. GOAT offers the second-highest Phase 1 target with the widest max drawdown of the three, suited for traders who want a large total buffer but a more moderate Phase 2 requirement.
Phase 2 trap at 6%: Unlike the Standard (5%) or PRO (4%), the GOAT model's Phase 2 target of 6% is the highest among all 2-step variants. After passing Phase 1, traders entering Phase 2 must still generate $300 on a $5,000 account — a meaningful hurdle that rewards no complacency.
First payout cap at $300: On a $5,000 account, the 6% cap gives only $300 per payout for the first two withdrawals, the smallest absolute cap across all GFT account sizes.
