Additional Rules
Three-phase evaluation: On a $200,000 account, traders must generate $12,000 in closed profits per phase while respecting all drawdown rules throughout each phase independently.
No minimum trading days in evaluation: The 3-Step challenge does not impose any minimum number of profitable trading days during evaluation.
Minimum trading days in funded stage: At least 3 valid trading days required before each payout, with a minimum profit of 0.5% per day ($1,000 on a $200,000 account). Resets after each payout.
Daily loss limit of 4%: On a $200,000 account, the maximum daily loss is $8,000. The threshold is calculated at 5:00 PM EST and remains fixed in dollar terms based on the initial account size.
Maximum drawdown of 8% static: The absolute floor is $184,000. Breach occurs if equity or balance reaches this level at any point including floating losses.
Static drawdown model: Both limits are calculated from the initial account balance and do not move with profits.
Leverage: Up to 1:100 Forex in evaluation, 1:50 in funded. Indices and Commodities 1:20 in evaluation, 1:10 in funded. Crypto 1:2 throughout.
Profit split: 80% default, with 100% split and on-demand first reward available as add-ons.
Payout frequency: Bi-weekly. First 2 payouts capped at 6% of initial balance ($12,000) or $10,000, whichever is lower. At $200,000, the first two payouts are capped at $10,000 — the lower of the two thresholds.
Daily profit cap in funded stage: $3,000 per day. At $200,000, the $3,000 cap represents only 1.5% of the account balance, making it an extremely restrictive ceiling. Even moderate performance generating 3–4% in a session will have excess profits deducted, significantly limiting the earning capacity of a high-capital funded account.
News trading: Permitted with a 1% profit cap ($2,000) per high-impact news event within the 5-minute window.
EAs allowed with restrictions: Own-code EAs permitted. HFT, arbitrage, and commercial challenge-passing EAs prohibited. Copy trading banned.
Weekend and overnight holding: Permitted across all phases and the funded stage.
Largest 3-Step account: At $200,000, this is the highest tier in the 3-Step lineup. The $8,000 daily loss limit and $16,000 total drawdown represent the largest absolute buffers across all 3-Step sizes, but the proportional risk parameters remain equally unforgiving.
Daily profit cap is most restrictive at this level: The flat $3,000 daily cap on a $200,000 account means maximum daily earnings of 1.5%, while any drawdown can go to 4% — a heavily asymmetric risk-to-reward ratio in funded trading that significantly constraints income potential on strong market days.
