Additional Rules

Consistency rule: No single position can account for more than 30% of total profits. This rule applies during evaluation and funded trading, and is designed to prevent traders from passing or qualifying for payouts with one oversized trade.

Profit targets: Traders must reach 6% profit in the evaluation phase and 4% profit in the funded stage while staying within all account rules.

Drawdown type: The maximum loss is 3% and is calculated on an end-of-day basis. This means intraday fluctuations do not trigger a breach unless losses are still present at the close.

Commissions: The Rebate program includes 100% commission rebate. Traders still pay futures commissions during the day, but all commissions are automatically refunded at the end of the trading day.

Position size: The $25K account allows up to 2 mini contracts or 20 micro contracts, while the $50K account allows up to 4 mini contracts or 40 micro contracts. Micro contracts are roughly 1/10 the size of mini contracts, allowing more precise risk control.

Overnight holding: Overnight positions are permitted, but any size above 1 mini contract or 10 micro contracts must be closed at least 10 minutes before market close (4:50 PM ET). The Rebate program also does not allow weekend holding.

News trading: Trading during news events is allowed, as long as all risk and account rules are respected.

Trading style restrictions: High-frequency trading, algorithmic trading, and hedging are not supported and may result in a ban from the program.

Time limit: There is no time limit to complete the evaluation, but traders must place at least one trade every 14 days or the account may be terminated for inactivity.

Profit split: Funded accounts use an 80/20 profit split in the trader’s favor. The first payout is capped at 50% of total profits, and later payouts follow the normal 80/20 split without that cap.

Payout risk note: After a payout, the account balance is reduced, which leaves less buffer before the 3% drawdown limit is hit.

Scaling Plan

The5ers Futures Rebate includes a funded-account scaling plan that activates every time the trader reaches a 10% profit milestone.

Once the 10% target is achieved and all positions are fully closed, the funded account is automatically disabled and sent to the Risk Department for review. After approval, the trader receives a new scaled account.

Each scaling milestone adds a 5% buying power increase and increases the contract limit by 1 mini contract and 10 micro contracts.

Example: On a $50,000 funded account, a trader needs $5,000 in profit to qualify for scaling. After hitting that milestone, the account is reviewed. If approved, the new account is built from the original $50,000, plus a 5% buying power increase to $52,500, plus the trader’s share of profits under the 80/20 split. In The5ers’ own example, this results in a new account balance of $56,500.

This structure is more gradual than account-doubling models. Instead of making huge jumps in nominal balance, the Rebate program scales buying power and contract limits step by step, which makes it more attractive for futures traders who want stable progression and controlled risk.

Important: Scaling is not instant and is not purely automatic. Hitting the 10% milestone triggers a review process, and the new account is issued only after approval.
