Aqua Funded
Aqua Funded offers up to $4 million in funding, which sounds impressive until you start reading the T&Cs. And then read them again. The number on the homepage is real. The path to it is longer than the homepage suggests.

Who Is This Firm For?
About Aqua Funded
The rules are structured around risk consistency rather than arbitrary restrictions. The Wave Stop system gives two warnings before termination, the margin limit is clearly defined at 80%, and the strategy consistency rule is front-loaded enough to know about before you start.
- Founded
- 2023
- Max Allocation
- $200,000
- Leverage
- 1:100
- Commissions

Pros
- - Copy trading allowed between own accounts and external accounts
- - News trading fully allowed during evaluation
- - Multiple models: Instant Funding, AquaMan, Pay After Pass
- - Wave Stop gives two warnings before termination
- - 80% margin limit clearly defined — no ambiguity
Cons
- - Wave Stop first trigger permanently halves profit split
- - Per-trade 2% floating breach = permanent closure, no warning, no appeal
- - Key rules in full T&C rather than challenge pages — requires careful reading
- - Strategy must match evaluation — switching after passing is violation
Works when it works
Been through a challenge reset and a payout cycle with them. Community feedback about them online is genuinely split, which matches my experience. Leaving without strong feelings in either direction.— Verified Trader (camila h.) See all reviews
Monitor your total floating loss across all open positions — Wave Stop triggers at 2% combined, not per trade. The per-trade 2% rule is separate and closes the account permanently on breach with no appeal. Read the full T&C and Funded Agreement before purchasing — the Wave Stop mechanics and per-trade limits are not front-loaded on the main challenge pages. Copy trading to external accounts is explicitly allowed — one of the more permissive policies in this category.

Aqua Funded
Aqua Funded seems to keep things relatively clean and structured. On paper, everything looks straightforward. In practice, the rules do a very good job of reminding you that discipline is not optional.
Inactivity Rule
- Accounts are deactivated after 30 days of inactivity.
- Once deactivated, they cannot be restored.
Even taking a break has consequences. Apparently, “I’ll trade next week” is not part of the business model.
Maximum Loss Per Trade Policy
(Applies to Instant Funding, AquaMan, and Pay After Pass models)
- Maximum floating loss per trade:
- 2% of account balance
- 1% for $300K and $400K accounts
- Breach results in permanent account closure
This is one of those rules where everything is very clear, very precise… and very unforgiving. The kind of clarity you only truly appreciate once you get close to it.
News Trading
- Trading is restricted within 5 minutes before and after high-impact news
- Fully allowed during evaluation programs
During evaluation, you’re trusted to handle volatility.
After that, the trust becomes more… structured.
Wave Stop (Soft Breach System)
- Trigger: 2% floating loss across open trades
- Action: All positions are automatically closed
- Applies only to funded accounts
Penalties:
- First breach → Profit split reduced to 50%
- Second breach → Account terminated
It’s called a soft breach, which sounds comforting.
Until you realize it’s more like a gentle warning followed by a very direct conversation.
All-or-Nothing Rule
- High-risk, all-in strategies are not allowed
If your plan involves “this one trade fixes everything,” this rule exists specifically to interrupt that moment.
Margin Limit
- Maximum 80% margin usage per trade
There’s a clear preference for controlled exposure.
Going all-in might feel exciting, but it’s not part of the long-term vision here.
Risk Management Restrictions
The following are prohibited:
- Excessive risk per trade
- Excessive cumulative risk across overlapping trades
“Excessive” is not defined with surgical precision, which suggests they expect traders to recognize it on their own.
A bold assumption, but here we are.
Strategy Consistency Rule
- You must use the same strategy in the funded account as in the evaluation
Passing with discipline and then suddenly discovering a new, more “creative” version of yourself is not encouraged.
Copy Trading Rules
Allowed with structure:
Allowed:
- Between your own Aqua Funded accounts
- Between funded and evaluation accounts
- Between Aqua Funded accounts and external accounts
Not allowed:
- Copying trades from other traders
You can mirror your own decisions.
Outsourcing them to someone else is where the line is drawn.
Final Take
Aqua Funded presents a clean and straightforward structure at first glance, especially on the main website pages where the core rules look simple and familiar.
The challenge starts when you go deeper.
There is a noticeable gap between:
- the rules shown before purchase
- and the full set of conditions outlined in the Terms & Conditions and Funded Agreement
Key details are not always front-loaded, which means the actual trading framework only becomes fully clear after you’ve already committed.
The rules themselves are not necessarily complicated.
But understanding the complete picture requires going beyond the surface.
If you take the time to read everything carefully, you’ll know exactly what to expect.
If not, the learning process tends to happen… in real time.

fair enough
Got in through an affiliate link from a trader i follow, no shame. weekend holding is allowed which i liked but teh swap fees stack up fast. platform execution is solid but the economic calendar built in is barely usable. dude the scaling targets are achievable but the timeline is longer than the marketing implies. i got funded fine but the scaling requirements are steeper than they look. if you cannot handle a daily loss limti this place will eat you alive.
passed second attempt
Tried them out after a refund nightmare with a competitor. crypto and wire both supported, i did wire and it hit my bank in two business days. i got a small payout bonus for hitting a milestone which was unexpected. the scaling plan is actually motivating instead of being some impossible carrot on a stick. good enough that i stopped shopping around for alternatives.
cautiously recommend
someone in my discord swore these guys pay fast so here we are. teh consistency requirement kept me disciplined but also kept me small. dude i passed phase one then immediately fumbled phase two before pulling it back in the last week. the platform disconnected on me twice during news, nothing lost but not a great feeling. kyc went through but it asked for a second proof of address i had to dig up. earned a cautious thumbs up from a guy who trusts no one.
low key impressed
Jumped in during a discount they were running over the holidays. no surprise inactivity fees which i half expected to get hit with. verification took one round of documents and they didnt ask me for ten random things. fees are reasonable for what you get and the retake discount softens the blow. the drawdown is calculated on balance not equity which honestly saved me a few times. i got a partial refund of my fee back with my first payout which i wasnt expecting. took my withdrawal seriously and processed it without a single hoop.
middle of the road
Signed up mostly to test their platform before committing real focus. support solved my issue in the end but the first two answers were copy paste. minimum trading days felt forced at first but i get it now, it protects both sides. fees crept up since i joined and the retake discount quietly got smaller. i can live with the spreads … the overnight financing is what surprises people. they answered my kyc question but pointed me to a help doc that was outdated. the rules are okay once you actually understand them, which takes a while.
Payouts Fine, Spreads Wide
third firm i tested this quarter so here is where they landed. the dashboard looks clean but half the stats i actually want arent on it. good spreads on forex … indices are wider than i expected. my first payout was smooth … the second one needed a support ticket to shake loose. they cap the max lot size which annoyed me at first but it protects you. drawdown is calculated on balance not equity which is fine once you adjust but nobody tells you upfront.
great firm slow support
A youtuber i actually trust reviewed them so i pulled teh trigger. fees are mid range, not the cheapest and not the worst. payout came in crypto fine but the fiat option had extra steps. the funded rules are stricter than the eval which caught me off guard. tbh commission per lot is average, nothing that runis a strategy but you notice it. i had no payout issues but i kept screenshots of everything just in case. average all around, you will not love it or hate it.
cleared my withdrawal fast
Started here as a complete beginner, here is how that went. the minimum trading days is low so you can get funded fast if youre actually profitable. the buffer between daily loss and max loss gives you breathing room on a bad day. i compared them against three others and they had the best balance of price and rules. i like that the daily loss limit resets at a sane hour for my timezone. a year of payouts later and i still have nothing bad to say.
in it for the long haul
Picked this firm because they supported my exact strategy. teh platform let me set custom alerts which actually helped me stick to my risk plan. i had a margin scare during cpi and the platform held up without freezing. dude thier server uptime during the last nfp was flawless from where i sat. the rules are written in plain english so i actually knew what id get banned for before i started. would i recommend? yeah, as long as you can follow rules.
no complaints really
Chose them after reading through a comparison thread. the consistency rule is generous enough that one good day doesnt disqualify your whole payout. the profit target on phase one is ambitious but not insane. i tested the live account against the demo with the same setups and it matched. they sent me a little congrats email with my payout confirmation which was a nice touch. repeat customer here so take that for what it is worth.
