Finotive Funding
Finotive Funding looks attractive on the surface — competitive pricing, multiple challenge models, profit splits that sound generous. Then you read the community feedback. Traders report payouts reduced to 10% of what was owed after passing every requirement. Accounts closed for reasons that don't appear in the rulebook they read before buying.

Who Is This Firm For?
About Finotive Funding
Hidden rules buried in the T&Cs get used against profitable accounts. Slippage complaints suggest execution issues that compound the problem further. When traders leave negative reviews, Finotive responds with lengthy corporate replies that acknowledge frustration without addressing a single specific complaint — which is its own kind of answer.
A 3.8% pass rate and a Hidden Rules score of 7.1 put Finotive at the bottom of our rankings. The pricing looks attractive going in. The exit tends to look considerably less so.

Kept my fee, kept their silence
Wanted a serious firm for my funded trading and this was not it. My payout was approved but never actually arrived in my bank account. If you read their terms carefully before signing up you may see why I feel this way.— Verified Trader (deepak c.) See all reviews
Notional volume can breach limits even when your actual risk is within bounds — it measures total exposure regardless of where your stop loss is placed. Every trade needs visible SL/TP interaction or it gets flagged. Avoid consistent night session trading if it generates more than 20% of your profits. Research recent community feedback carefully before committing — the gap between published rules and reported payout experience is significant.

Finotive Funding – Trading Conditions
Finotive Funding comes with one of those rule sets that looks normal…
until you realize it doesn’t just regulate what you trade.
It regulates:
- - how you trade
- - how often
- - how fast
- - how consistent you are
- - and occasionally… how you think
At some point, it starts to feel less like a trading account
and more like a behavioral experiment with a profit target attached.
Notional Volume (The Rule You Didn’t Know You Needed to Worry About)
- - Measures total exposure, not actual risk
- - Independent of stop-loss placement
- - Breaches can lead to:
- - Warnings
- - Soft breaches
- - Hard breaches
- - Account closure
- - Payout reductions
It’s like driving safely, but getting fined because your car looked fast.
Drawdown System (Instant Funding)
- - 1.0% → soft warning
- - 1.5% → strike
- - 5 strikes → breach
So instead of one clear limit, you get a system that slowly builds up.
Think of it like:
You’re not disqualified for one mistake…
You’re disqualified for being consistently human.
High-Frequency & Fast Trading Rules
Not allowed:
- - HFT
- - Arbitrage
- - Latency abuse
- - Tick scalping
- - Micro-duration trading
A breach occurs if:
- - Over 50% of trades < 2 minutes, or
- - Over 30% of profits come from trades < 2 minutes
So fast trading is fine.
Just not too effective fast trading.
Low Liquidity & Timing Rules
- - Trading between 22:00 – 02:00 UTC is monitored
- - If:
- - You trade consistently in that window
- - AND make over 20% of profit there
→ It becomes a problem
So yes, you can trade at night.
Just don’t do too well while everyone else is asleep.
Loss-Chasing & “Gambling” Behavior
Not allowed:
- - Re-entering trades after losses
- - One-directional aggressive trading
- - Trying to recover losses quickly
Which translates to:
“Please don’t behave like… most traders behave after a loss.”
Fair rule.
Also surprisingly difficult for a large percentage of humans.
Risk Management Rules
- - If 50%+ of trades don’t interact with SL/TP → flagged
- “Abnormal stop-loss usage” is prohibited
Example:
- - Ultra-tight stops used to justify large positions
So:
You must use stop-losses.
But also… use them correctly.
But also… in a way that looks realistic.
There’s a subtle art to not looking suspicious.
Strategy Restrictions
- - Martingale / Grid → prohibited
- - Strategy switching after passing → not allowed
So if you:
- - Pass carefully
- - Then decide to “scale up aggressively”
That character development is not appreciated.
Trade Structuring Rules
- - Hedging across accounts → prohibited
- - High-frequency stacking → restricted
Opening multiple positions on correlated assets is:
“Technically smart…
but also technically not allowed.”
News Trading (The Creative Version)
- - News straddling → prohibited
Opening buy + sell around news is considered:
- - “unnatural trading behavior”
Which is a polite way of saying:
“We’ve seen this trick before.”
Weekend Holding
- - Evaluation → Allowed
- - Instant → Not allowed unless you pay for an add-on
So holding trades over the weekend is possible…
Only if you pay for it.
Inactivity Rule
- - 30 days inactivity → account closed
- - No refund
Even doing nothing has consequences.
Efficiency is impressive, wouldn't you say?
The Part Traders Usually Discover Later
A noticeable portion of feedback around Finotive revolves around:
- - Payout reductions (Most if the time down to 10%)
- - Accounts flagged after profitable trading
- - Rule interpretations applied post-performance
And yes:
- - Around 27%+ of their Trustpilot reviews are 1-star, detecting fake reviews. Trustpilot decided to Flag their company profile, stating "Warning". more info -> https://www.trustpilot.com/review/finotivefunding.com
- - Many mention similar patterns
To be clear:
The rules are there.
The experience comes from how they’re applied.
Final Take
Finotive Funding doesn’t just define rules.
It defines behavior.
The system is built to detect:
- - speed
- - timing
- - consistency
- - risk patterns
And intervene when things start looking “unusual.”
If your style is:
- - slow
- - structured
- - predictable
You might be fine.
If it involves:
- - adaptation
- - speed
- - recovering from losses
- - or thinking creatively
There’s a high chance you’ll eventually meet a rule
you didn’t realize mattered.

Funded briefly, gone quickly
Their pricing and promotions drew me in. The product itself is lacking. Documentation contradicts itself in multiple places. Moving my money to a firm that respects its traders.
Profit targets were realistic
I have been with this firm for about three months now. Disputes I have raised were handled in a fair and timely manner. No notes from me. Keep doing the thing.
Not recommended for serious traders
Gave them the benefit of the doubt despite some online complaints I read. Their consistency rule is nearly impossible to satisfy in real trading. Will not be back, and I hope readers listen.
Halfway to recommending
Not the best firm I have tried, but also far from the worst. Spread widening during news is within reason but not as tight as advertised. Fine for now, not sure about the long run.
Delayed every step of the way
Signed up during a sale and regretted it within a month. The refund policy has so many exceptions it is effectively non-existent. Cancelled my account and moved on.
Transparent rule updates
Signed up last year and have been consistently trading since. Spreads during peak hours are reasonable for a prop firm. Feels like they respect their traders, which is more than I can say for some.
Would not recommend
Assumed a firm this visible would be more professional. Wrong. Their news-trading restrictions are much broader than the documentation says. For me, this was a clear lesson in ignoring flashy marketing.
Challenge fair, funded less so
I would call my experience here adequate, no more, no less. Their educational content is decent but not as strong as some competitors. Would keep my account here unless a clearly better option appeared.
Consistency rule makes no sense
I wanted to like this firm, I really did. Their affiliate terms changed without notice and my pending commission vanished. The industry needs firms that treat traders better than this.
Good day, bad day
Picked them because a friend had a decent but not great experience. My payout splits arrived but I had to re-verify KYC each time. Middle-tier firm with middle-tier results.
