For Traders
For Traders offers up to $1 million in funding and a moderate hidden rules score — which is a combination that deserves careful T&C reading before you get excited about the number on the homepage. The pass rate is decent. The rulebook is worth your full attention.

Not overly restrictive, not overly loose.
More like a firm that tries to give you flexibility… while still keeping a close eye on how you use it.

But like always, the details start to matter once you actually trade.

Not bad, not great
Been through a challenge reset and a payout cycle with them. Their dashboard is functional but definitely showing its age. Trade here if the conditions fit your style. Otherwise keep shopping.— Verified Trader (sophie h.) See all reviews
The -2% floating loss cap applies across all open positions simultaneously — not per trade. Monitor your total floating PnL actively, not just individual trades. The 70% profit target rule means if your target is $1,000, no single trade can make more than $700 of it — plan your position sizing accordingly. Instant accounts have only 7 days before inactivity termination — if you're not ready to trade, don't activate the account yet.

For Traders – Trading Conditions
Expert Advisors (EAs)
- - Allowed only if they assist your decisions
- - Fully automated or self-trading bots → not allowed
So you can have tools.
You just can’t outsource your brain entirely.
Copy Trading
- - Allowed:
- - Between your own For Traders accounts
- - From your For Traders account (as master)
- Not allowed:
- - Copying into a For Traders account
You can lead your own system.
You just can’t plug into someone else’s.
News Trading
- - Evaluation Phase:
- - No restrictions
- - Funded Accounts:
- - Cannot open trades 5 minutes before/after news
- - Profits from trades opened in that window → removed
You can hold trades through news.
Just don’t try to time the explosion.
Instant Drawdown Protection
- - Max floating loss: -2% of starting balance
Violations:
- - 1st → Trades closed, account continues, profit split reduced to 50%
- - 2nd → Account terminated
This is basically a safety net…
that also doubles as a warning system.
Risk & Execution Rules
- - Max 40% margin usage per direction/instrument
- - No trade can exceed 70% of the profit target
Example:
If your plan is:
“One trade and I’m done”
→ This rule is specifically waiting for you.
Minimum Trading Days
- - 7 profitable days (≥0.5% each)
- - No minimum
Evaluation & Funded (Fast, Classic, Strike):
- - 3 profitable days per phase
So yes, they want consistency…
but they’re not dragging it out unnecessarily.
Trade Behavior Restrictions
Not allowed:
- - HFT / Arbitrage / Tick scalping
- - Grid / Martingale
- - Hedging
- - Overleveraging
- - One-sided betting
- - Account rolling
- - Group or signal trading
- - Fully automated bots
At this point, it’s the usual list.
Nothing surprising, just covering all the “creative shortcuts.”
Inactivity Rules
- - Instant accounts:
- - 7 days inactivity → account terminated
- - Other programs:
- - 30 days inactivity → terminated
So depending on the account, you either:
- - take a short break
or - - apparently take no break at all
Time Limit (3-Step Challenge)
- - Total: 180 days
- - 60 days per phase
Reasonable enough.
No unnecessary pressure here.
Overnight & Weekend Holding
- - Allowed
A small but important plus.
No hidden complications here.
Code of Conduct
Not allowed:
- - Harassment, threats, or toxic behavior
- - Spamming or system abuse
- - Impersonation
- - Payment disputes abuse
Final Take
For Traders sits comfortably in the middle:
- - Clear rules
- - Decent flexibility
- - Some strict areas around execution and behavior
Nothing feels overly aggressive.
Nothing feels overly relaxed either.
If your style is:
- - Structured
- - Moderately paced
- - Not dependent on extremes
You’ll likely have a smooth experience.
If it leans toward:
- - High-risk, single-trade strategies
- - Fast execution
- - Or heavy automation
You’ll start noticing where the boundaries are pretty quickly.

survived the challenge
I blew my first account in two days like an absolute clown. i scaled twice and each bump was a real size jump not some token gesture. no surprise inactivity fees which i half expected to get hit with. I don't see the point of some of the rules, man. they let me run my algo as long as it is not some latency arbitrage exploit. their economic calendar integration is a small thing but i use it daily. stuck with them a year now and zero regrets.
in it for the long haul
Took teh plunge after lurking their subreddit for a couple weeks. trades closed at my stop exactly, no requote nonsense or sneaky slippage at the level. tbh i compared them against three others and they had the best balance of price and rules. i got a small payout bonus for hitting a milestone which was unexpected. this is the one i recommend when people ask where to start.
fast payouts, dated ui
Grabbed an account to see if the hype online held up. their dashboard is genuinely useful, learned stuff about my own trading just looking at it. the dashboard shows my drawdown buffer in real time so i never have to guess how much room is left. you get a real account dashboard with trade history and stats not just a balance number. platform was stable the whole time, no random disconnects during news.
Quietly Impressed
Got in through an affiliate link from a trader i follow, no shame. i was funded the same day i passed, no waiting around for a manual review for a week. crypto and wire both supported, i did wire and it hit my bank in two business days. first withdrawal had a kyc step but it was a quick selfie and id, done in five minutes. you can request a payout any day once youre funded, no waiting for some fixed cycle. happy to keep them as my main while i test others on the side.
best eval i've taken
Tried a bunch of firms this year so i know what to look for by now. teh verification email came instantly instead of the usual 24 hour wait. their content creators seem to actually trade the product instead of just reading scripts. partial closes and trailing stops both worked exactly like they should. idk but repeat customer here so take that for what it is worth.
Honestly Impressed
picked them mostly because the eval price was easy to swallow. leverage is reasonable, not the reckless stuff that blows beginners up. payouts are biweekly on funded accounts which is way better than the monthly firms. the drawdown is calculated on balance not equity which honestly saved me a few times. slippage outside of high impact news is basically a non issue for me. the minimum trading days is low so you can get funded fast if youre actually profitable. no drama, no excuses, just a balance that hit my account on time.
worth the eval fee
Been trading prop for like two years so i have some basis for comparison. their spreads on gold are tighter than the broker i was using before i found them. i can run my own ea on their platform and it ran without any weird restrictions. kyc was painless, uploaded my id and got verified the same afternoon. support speaks actual english and not copy pasted template answers. there is a discord and staff actually show up in it occasionally. a year of payouts later and i still have nothing bad to say.
fair rules clunky platform
funded trader for about a year now bouncing between a couple firms. the news trading rule is vague enough that i traded scared the whole funded phase. the firm is legit as far as i can tell, just slower on everything than advertised. spreads are ok on majors but the exotics are basically untradeable. comfortable enough to stay, not confident enough to recommend loudly.
not bad at all
Picked this firm because they supported my exact strategy. i had a margin scare during cpi and the platform held up without freezing. the news trading rules are clearly listed so theres no nasty surprise after you pass. monthly fee on the challenge is honestly cheap compared to what others charge for the same size. the buffer between daily loss and max loss gives you breathing room on a bad day. will probably grab a second account to diversify my strategies.
two payouts and counting
Was super skeptical going in becuase of all teh horror stories online. the challenge target felt achievable with proper risk, not some gambling threshold. the scaling plan is actually motivating instead of being some impossible carrot on a stick. verification took one round of documents and they didnt ask me for ten random things. idk but the onboarding walkthrough actually explained the rules instead of dumping a pdf on me. four stars, the missing one is just me being picky about the ui.
