For Traders
For Traders offers up to $1 million in funding and a moderate hidden rules score — which is a combination that deserves careful T&C reading before you get excited about the number on the homepage. The pass rate is decent. The rulebook is worth your full attention.

Who Is This Firm For?
About For Traders
Not overly restrictive, not overly loose.
More like a firm that tries to give you flexibility… while still keeping a close eye on how you use it.
The rules are generally clear.
But like always, the details start to matter once you actually trade.

Not bad, not great
Been through a challenge reset and a payout cycle with them. Their dashboard is functional but definitely showing its age. Trade here if the conditions fit your style. Otherwise keep shopping.— Verified Trader (sophie h.) See all reviews
The -2% floating loss cap applies across all open positions simultaneously — not per trade. Monitor your total floating PnL actively, not just individual trades. The 70% profit target rule means if your target is $1,000, no single trade can make more than $700 of it — plan your position sizing accordingly. Instant accounts have only 7 days before inactivity termination — if you're not ready to trade, don't activate the account yet.

For Traders – Trading Conditions
Expert Advisors (EAs)
- - Allowed only if they assist your decisions
- - Fully automated or self-trading bots → not allowed
So you can have tools.
You just can’t outsource your brain entirely.
Copy Trading
- - Allowed:
- - Between your own For Traders accounts
- - From your For Traders account (as master)
- Not allowed:
- - Copying into a For Traders account
You can lead your own system.
You just can’t plug into someone else’s.
News Trading
- - Evaluation Phase:
- - No restrictions
- - Funded Accounts:
- - Cannot open trades 5 minutes before/after news
- - Profits from trades opened in that window → removed
You can hold trades through news.
Just don’t try to time the explosion.
Instant Drawdown Protection
- - Max floating loss: -2% of starting balance
Violations:
- - 1st → Trades closed, account continues, profit split reduced to 50%
- - 2nd → Account terminated
This is basically a safety net…
that also doubles as a warning system.
Risk & Execution Rules
- - Max 40% margin usage per direction/instrument
- - No trade can exceed 70% of the profit target
Example:
If your plan is:
“One trade and I’m done”
→ This rule is specifically waiting for you.
Minimum Trading Days
- - 7 profitable days (≥0.5% each)
- - No minimum
Evaluation & Funded (Fast, Classic, Strike):
- - 3 profitable days per phase
So yes, they want consistency…
but they’re not dragging it out unnecessarily.
Trade Behavior Restrictions
Not allowed:
- - HFT / Arbitrage / Tick scalping
- - Grid / Martingale
- - Hedging
- - Overleveraging
- - One-sided betting
- - Account rolling
- - Group or signal trading
- - Fully automated bots
At this point, it’s the usual list.
Nothing surprising, just covering all the “creative shortcuts.”
Inactivity Rules
- - Instant accounts:
- - 7 days inactivity → account terminated
- - Other programs:
- - 30 days inactivity → terminated
So depending on the account, you either:
- - take a short break
or - - apparently take no break at all
Time Limit (3-Step Challenge)
- - Total: 180 days
- - 60 days per phase
Reasonable enough.
No unnecessary pressure here.
Overnight & Weekend Holding
- - Allowed
A small but important plus.
No hidden complications here.
Code of Conduct
Not allowed:
- - Harassment, threats, or toxic behavior
- - Spamming or system abuse
- - Impersonation
- - Payment disputes abuse
Final Take
For Traders sits comfortably in the middle:
- - Clear rules
- - Decent flexibility
- - Some strict areas around execution and behavior
Nothing feels overly aggressive.
Nothing feels overly relaxed either.
If your style is:
- - Structured
- - Moderately paced
- - Not dependent on extremes
You’ll likely have a smooth experience.
If it leans toward:
- - High-risk, single-trade strategies
- - Fast execution
- - Or heavy automation
You’ll start noticing where the boundaries are pretty quickly.

would sign up again
My prop firm group chat would not shut up about them so i caved. i requested a payout three times and all three landed inside teh promised wnidow. overnight swaps are charged but they are upfront about the numbers. slippage outside of high impact news is basically a non issue for me. execution during london open is tight enough to scalp if you are into that. i passed phase one then immediately fumbled phase two before pulling it back in the last week. no regrets, would hand them my eval fee again. dude
sticking with them
got tired of demo trading and figured a challenge would force me to focus. email notifications can lag a bit which is mildly annoying but not a dealbreaker. the verification email came instantly instead of the usual 24 hour wait. payouts are biweekly on funded accounts which is way better than the monthly firms. support answered a dumb question of mine with an actual example instead of a canned reply. four stars from me, knocking one off purely for the dated dashboard.
payouts are legit
They popped up on a youtube ad and against my better judgement i clicked. they refunded my eval fee when i got funded which was a nice surprise. i renewed my challenge this month which is basically my whole review right there. i tested the live account against the demo with the same setups and it matched. the second phase target was lower than phase one which kept me sane. i breached the daily loss limit on a tilt day, fully my fault, they did nothing wrong. got paid, that is the whole review really, everything else is noise.
does what it says
Been trading prop for like two years and i keep coming back to this one. suport replied way faster than my actual broker which is kinda sad when you think about it. there is a discord and staff actually show up in it occasionally. man they let me run my algo as long as it is not some latency arbitrage exploit. teh ui looks like it was designed in 2014 but functionally everything works.
read the rules first
First prop firm i actually stuck with long enough to get funded. the trailing drawdown is reasonable if you size your positions like an adult. i traded indices mostly and the spreads on those were perfectly fine. they paused my consistency tracker when i asked for a couple weeks off, super flexible. they passed the only test that matters, they paid me.
passed second attempt
Rolled the dice on these guys after my last firm jacked up their fees. the scaling plan is actually motivating instead of being some impossible carrot on a stick. pricing is not the cheapest but you kind of pay for the peace of mind. the challenge rules are strict but at least they are written in plain english for once. the payout actually hit my account in like two days which i did not expect.
solid all rounder
Not gonna lie i went in expecting teh worst. i like that they show your stats in real time instead of a delayed dashboard. i appreciated that they email you before a rule change instead of springing it. the eval took me like 27 trading days total, not fast not slow, just fair. can you guys get in contact with this firm if I provide an acc number? thier customer support hasn't replied in 3 days. the drawdown is calculated on balance not equity which honestly saved me a few times. i scaled twice and each bump was a real size jump not some token gesture. idk but do your own research but my experience has been genuinely fine.
solid but not flawless
ok so teh evaluation is exactly as advertised which is rare these days. their content creators seem to actually trade the product instead of just reading scripts. the news trading rule confused me at first but the faq actually explains why it exists. idk but i never had to chase support, they actually closed my ticket the same day. would i do it again? yeah, probably with a bigger account next time.
My go-to prop firm
Used their instant funding option instead of the traditional evaluation. Weekend and overnight holding is permitted without swap penalties. Will continue scaling my account here as long as they keep this level of quality.
Payouts without drama
Was looking for a firm that supported my specific trading style. Disputes I have raised were handled in a fair and timely manner. I would comfortably recommend them to anyone serious about prop trading.
