Lost faith in this firm
Based on their marketing I expected a lot more than I got. Documentation contradicts itself in multiple places. Looking forward to never logging into their dashboard again.— Verified Trader (arjun) See all reviews
News trading is a hard line at Funding Pips — not a soft restriction. If news is any part of your strategy, this is not the right firm. The 10-minute same-direction trade idea rule catches traders who scale into positions gradually — every buy you open within 10 minutes of the last one counts toward the same risk limit. Read the Zero Model's 7-day profitable requirement carefully before you request a payout.

Funding Pips - Trading Conditions, Key Rules
Forbidden Trading Practices
- Gap trading
- High-frequency trading
- Toxic trading flow & server spamming
- Latency arbitrage
- Hedging & long-short arbitrage
- Reverse arbitrage & tick scalping
- Opposite account trading
- Copy trading or account management by third-party vendors
- Overleveraging & excessive position sizing
- Purposely trading news events — explicitly prohibited & classified as abuse
That last one deserves special attention. Most firms restrict news trading on funded accounts. Funding Pips goes further — intentionally trading news is classified as an abuse of the account given in good faith & leads to termination. Not a soft rule. A hard line.
Side note: the Responsible Trading Policy runs to several thousand words and covers everything from geopolitical awareness to taking breaks. It reads less like a terms document and more like a trading philosophy book. Whether that's reassuring or slightly overwhelming depends on your patience for fine print.
News Trading
- News trading is forbidden — intentionally trading news events leads to account termination
- Classified as an abuse of Funding Pips accounts
- Applies to both evaluation and master stage
This is one of the strictest news trading policies in the industry. If news trading is any part of your strategy — Funding Pips is not the right firm.
Expert Advisors
- Third-party EAs → allowed only if used as a trade or risk manager
- Any other third-party EA → not allowed, leads to account violation & reward decline
- Custom EAs → permitted within responsible trading guidelines
The distinction is narrow but important — an EA that manages your risk or executes your trades is fine. An EA that generates signals or operates autonomously is not. If you're not sure which category yours falls into, assume it doesn't qualify until confirmed.
Copy Trading
- Copy trading by third-party vendors → strictly prohibited
- Account management by third parties → not allowed
- IP monitoring → Funding Pips explicitly reserves the right to monitor, log & analyze IP address activity
You can trade from multiple IPs — that's acknowledged. But if IP patterns suggest coordinated or managed trading, expect a review.
Account Models — Overview

| 2-Step Pro (Phase 1) | 6% | 3% | 6% | 1 day | Static |

| Zero Model (Master) | No target | 3% | 5% | 7 profitable days/30 days | Trailing |
The Zero Model — What It Actually Means
The Zero Model is the most unique offering in the Funding Pips lineup & the one most traders misread.
- No profit target on the master account
- 5% trailing max loss — based on equity, trails to the highest equity level reached
- Once 5% profit is reached → max loss locks at initial balance permanently
- 7 minimum profitable days required every 30-day period — each day must generate at least 0.25% of account balance
- Failure to meet the 30-day requirement → account closed
The trailing mechanism works similarly to other firms' trailing drawdown — the better you do early, the tighter your floor gets until the lock kicks in. After the lock, it behaves like a static drawdown. Read the sequence carefully before you start.
Risk Per Position — Hard Limits
This section applies to all accounts & is enforced strictly.
- Accounts $50K and above → maximum 2% risk per position
- Accounts below $50K → maximum 3% risk per position
- Same trade idea rule → opening a new position in the same direction within 10 minutes counts as one trade idea for the 2%/3% limit
- Splitting trades into multiple positions → all positions counted as one trade for the purpose of this rule
The 10-minute same-direction rule catches traders who try to scale into positions gradually. If you opened a buy 8 minutes ago & open another buy now — that's one trade idea, one combined risk limit.
Risk Assessment Interviews
- Periodic risk & compliance assessments — can occur monthly, weekly or daily
- Once initiated → payouts withheld until assessment is satisfactorily completed
- Participation mandatory — failure to cooperate results in withheld remuneration & potential termination
The frequency range here is wide — daily assessments are theoretically possible. In practice this is triggered by unusual trading patterns, but it's worth knowing the mechanism exists before you hit a payout request.
Inactivity Rule
- 30 consecutive calendar days without a trade → account closed
Standard across the industry. Nothing unusual here.
Disputes Policy
One rule worth reading before you ever consider a chargeback:
- Disputing a payment → account banned immediately, permanently
- All other active accounts → closed
- No appeals accepted
Funding Pips treats chargebacks as a direct financial & reputational damage. The policy is explicit and non-negotiable. If you have a genuine issue with a payment, contact support first — a dispute will end the relationship permanently.
Final Take
Funding Pips has built something real in three years — 54,329 Trustpilot reviews, a clean Hidden Rules Meter of 2.0/10 & a product lineup that covers most trading styles. The Zero Model in particular is genuinely different from what most firms offer.
The news trading prohibition is the most significant limitation in the lineup — stricter than most competitors & worth factoring in before you buy. The risk per position rules & the 10-minute same-direction trade idea rule add another layer of complexity that rewards traders who read carefully.
Hidden Rules Meter: 2.0/10 — Trust Score: 4.3/5 — Trustpilot: 4.5/5.

happy customer here
someone in my discord swore these guys pay fast so here we are. platform was stable the whole time, no random disconnects during news. honestly the rules made my retail trading better too, forced discipline and all that. their dashboard is genuinely useful, learned stuff about my own trading just looking at it. drawdown is end of day based not intraday so a quick wick against me doesnt kill the account. four stars from me, knocking one off purely for the dated dashboard.
better than i expected
jumped in during a discount they were running over teh holidays. the weekly market recap they send is actually worth reading. man verification took one round of documents and they didnt ask me for ten random things. had one weird order rejection and they tracked it to a platform bug and credited me back. rules are clear … suport is human … payments are real … what else do you want.
funded and paid
Wanted something with weekend holding allowed so i landed here. slippage outside of high impact news is basically a non issue for me. i like that they show your stats in real time instead of a delayed dashboard. support gave me a straight answer about overnight holds instead of dodging teh question. they honoured a payout even though i fat fingered a lot size … very fair. bro the profit target on phase one is ambitious but not insane. two thumbs up, payout landed before the email even did.
rules are fair tbh
wanted a firm with a platform i already knew how to use. their mobile app is basic but it does let me check my account on the go. no hidden gotchas on the payout page, what they say is what you actually get. i requested a payout three times and all three landed inside the promised window. the second phase target was lower than phase one which kept me sane. will probably grab a second account to diversify my strategies.
strong eval weak support
got tired of demo trading and figured a challenge would force me to focus. the firm is legit as far as i can tell … just slower on everything than advertised. execution is fine in london hours but i saw real slippage in the asian session. the mobile app logs me out every other day which gets old fast. can you guys get in contact with this firm if I provide an acc number? their customer support hasn't replied in ages. they cap the max lot size which annoyed me at first but it protects you. they answered my kyc question but pointed me to a help doc that was outdated. usable … but keep your expectations and your lot sizes small.
beginner friendly enough
Switched over when my old firm raised their fees. i had a margin scare during cpi and the platform held up without freezing. trades closed at my stop exactly, no requote nonsense or sneaky slippage at the level. payout came through with zero fees deducted, what i requested is what i received. i went in skeptical and walked out a believer. can you guys get in contact with this firm if I provide an acc number? their customer support hasn't replied in a week.
rules are strict but fair
honestly just wanted to see if any of these prop firms are legit at all. their scaling plan doesnt reset your progress if you have one losing month which is rare. their reset option after a breach is cheaper than buying a whole new eval. the scaling lets you double your account size every time you clear a payout milestone. no asterisks, no surprises, just a firm that pays, love it.
worth the eval fee
They popped up on a youtube ad and against my better judgement i clicked. the daily loss limit gives you enough room to actually trade your plan instead of choking you out. they sent me a little congrats email with my payout confirmation which was a nice touch. i got a partial refund of my fee back with my first payout which i wasnt expecting. took my withdrawal seriously and processed it without a single hoop.
not bad at all
came over from another firm that shall not be named after they ghosted me. the challenge timer is generous, i never felt rushed into bad trades. partial closes and trailing stops both worked exactly like they should. reset on a blown challenge was free which saved me from buying a whole new account. no surprise inactivity fees which i half expected to get hit with. the minimum trading days is low so you can get funded fast if youre actually profitable. i will renew when this account runs its course, simple as that.
fair rules clunky platform
Saw an ad mid scroll and ended up buying an account that night. kyc took four days and two resubmissions which is longer than anywhere else i used. spreads are okay and stable … nothing exciting but nothing alarming either. fees for resetting the challenge are steep if you fail late. my account got funded but the credentials email took a day to arrive. average all around … you will not love it or hate it.
